IEC 63085-2021 pdf download.Radiation protection instrumentation – System of spectral identification of liquids in transparent and semitransparent containers (Raman systems).
When analyzing chemical compounds, the identification data shall contain common names of the compounds and/or synonyms and chemically related compounds. In the case of analysis of binary solutions (see e.g. Figure A.4 and Figure A.5 of Annex A), identification of both components shall be achieved. In the case of the ternary solution (see e.g. Figure A.5 of Annex A), it is only required that any, all, or no components identified are so reported. The spectra of binary or ternary solutions should not be stored in the spectral library of the system prior to the test.
4.3.8.3 Test method Analyze test sample4. Both components – water and ethanol – shall be successfully identified by the system under test; inspection time is subject to the requirements of 4.3.2.1 . Analyze test sample 5. The two components – methanol and ethanol – shall be successfully identified by the system under test; inspection time is subject to the requirements of 4.3.2.1 . Analyze test sample 6. For the ternary compound, the requirement is that the three components – methanol, ethanol and isopropanol – shall each be reported as identified by the system under test or not; inspection time is subject to the requirements of 4.3.2.1 . The requirement is to report only.
4.4 Laser safety
4.4.1 General Predetermined security measures are required for the Raman analyzer, depending on the laser class to which it is assigned by the manufacturer. This applies to the visual and audible indication of the status of the emitter, the presence of radiation blocking, protective casing and other devices that protect the operator and bystanders from harmful exposure to laser radiation. 4.4.2 Depending on its declared class of laser, the Raman analyzer shall meet the safety requirements prescribed in IEC 60825-4:2006.
4.5 Electrical safety
4.5.1 Main power connection
4.5.1 .1 Requirements If operated using AC mains supply, the input voltage and frequency shall correspond to the input parameters of the low-voltage power supply unit of the Raman analyzer. The input parameters of the low-voltage power supply of the Raman analyzer shall be compatible with the parameters of the available ac mains supply (subject to the requirements of IEC 60038:2009).
4.5.1 .2 Test method Check that the permissible voltage and frequency range indicated on the low-voltage power supply unit corresponds to the parameters of the available ac mains supply. Plug the Raman analyzer into an outlet using a low-voltage power supply. Perform 4.3.2.2 and ensure normal system operation.
4.5.2 Stability at mains power supply
4.5.2.1 Requirements
If operated using AC mains supply, the Raman analyzer shall operate normally when the supply voltage is between 85 % and 1 1 0 % of voltage rating and in the range of ± 3 Hz of nominal frequency.IEC 63085 pdf download.
